Submission Instructions
Novus Sport is interested in hearing from you! Novus Sport has helped in the development of high impact for-profit and not-for-profit ventures in collaboration with leading organizations such as the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Collegiate Athletic Association – and you can be next.
This page provides instructions for submitting concepts and venture ideas to Novus Sport. Submissions should run two to five pages long and include the applicable discussion points listed below. Novus Sport will review all concepts within six weeks of submission. Submissions should be sent to info@novussport.com .
Please provide as much information as possible; however, some discussion points may not be applicable or relevant. Business plans, financial models, market research and other supporting materials can be attached as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel files, but are not required.
Discussion Points:
General Information
- Your name, contact information and affiliations.
- Executive summary or overview of the concept.
Market Information
- Description of market need, i.e., what issue do you address or problem do you solve?
- Description of beneficiaries or customers, i.e., whose life are you making better, whose problems are you solving?
- Description of supporting market research (if applicable), i.e., have you or others done market research that directly validates the issue, the significance of the issue and the applicability of your concept for solving the issue?
- Description of the market opportunity (if applicable), e.g., how many people are affected or impacted by the issue you're addressing (market size), market growth, noteworthy trends in target market, competitors or alternative solutions?
Science and Technology
- Description of the product development status (if applicable), e.g., still conducting research in the lab, beta testing with customers, final product ready for mass manufacturing.
- Description of the intellectual property (if applicable).
- Description of the intellectual property protection (if applicable), e.g., patient applications, patents.
Advisors, Supporters, and/or Management Team
- Description of yourself, i.e., position, background, relevant experience and credentials.
- Description of relationships or partnerships with other organizations or individuals with whom you're working or collaborating (if applicable), e.g., names, affiliations, credentials, nature of their involvement or contributions.
- Description of potential stakeholders, i.e., what other organizations, individuals, agencies may have an interest in this project.
Project Status
- Provide concept issue brief, business plan and financial models (if available).
- Description of current funding activity, e.g., not pursuing funding at this time, government grants, foundation grants, friends and family, venture capital (pre-existing funding is not a prerequisite for Novus Sport involvement).
